400m Hurdler specialist, Trevor Bassitt, has had great success in the long hurdles but has also shown tremendous speed in the 60m as well as all the way up to the 4x400m Relay. This week, Trevor sits with J.T. and talks about his road from high school hurdler to becoming one of the top track athletes in the country.

Personal
Son of Tom and Mindy Bassit. Trevor Bassitt was named the National Men’s Track Athlete of the Year for the 2022 NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field season. Bassitt, who hails from Bluffton, Ohio, won the national title in the 400-meter hurdles at the NCAA DII Outdoor Track & Field Championships in 48.98, which cemented his spot as the No. 4 performer in divisional history. He also anchored Ashland to a fourth-place finish in the 4×400 relay. Bassitt went undefeated in the 400H this season with other victories in the elite section of the prestigious Mt. SAC Relays over a field of professional athletes as well as the Northeast Ohio Quad.
